School of the Arts, Media + Culture

TWU’s School of the Arts, Media, and Culture is a place where faculty and learners engage in meaningful scholarship and develop deep career-connected competencies rooted in our Imago Dei reality. We are called to be salt and light to the world through our creative acts. Our work aims to develop a reciprocity process in which shared narratives become a component of joyful relationships, transformative development, and simultaneous renewal, whereby individual and organizational renewal is expected to occur across sectors. This is different from simply collecting data, getting the story, taking a snapshot, or framing an image. By using this approach, we may broaden our attention to include innovative communication concepts, artistic expressions, smart design, creative business strategies, imaginative critical analysis, corporate communication, advocacy work, and generative narratives—all of which serve to improve people's understanding of themselves and their surroundings. SAMC welcomes a collaborative approach where possibilities emerge and ideas come to life, involving causes that spark activity centred on the needs, resources, and interests of the communities of practice that we serve.
