Applying for Financial Aid
Undergraduate Students
Students must enrol in full-time studies with a minimum 80% course load (12 semester hours/semester) in order to be eligible for financial aid. View eligibility requirements and exceptions.
Spring 2025 Semester:
If you are a new incoming student beginning your studies in January 2025:
- Canadian students (including permanent residents): Complete the financial need assessment to apply for need-based funding (TWU Grant). Submit the need assessment by December 1 to allow sufficient time for processing
- U.S students: Complete the 2024-25 FAFSA to apply for need-based funding (TWU Grant). Complete the FAFSA by December 1 to allow sufficient time for processing.
Fall 2025 – Spring 2026 Academic Year:
The application for Financial Aid & Awards will be available on January 15 for the academic year beginning in September 2025 and ending in April 2026.
The following programs are not eligible for Financial Aid & Awards:
- Summer Sessions (courses offered between May – August)
- Degree Completion programs (Leadership, Psychology and Social Sciences)
- U1 and other international pathway programs
- Qualifying or Casual Studies
- English Language Training programs
