Trinity Western University earns spot on Colleges of Distinction list
Trinity Western University has become the first Canadian educational institution to be included on CollegesofDistinction.com, an online guide honouring colleges and universities that are the best places to learn, grow, and succeed.
“Schools selected as Colleges of Distinction create well-rounded graduates and are among the very best in the country,” reports Tyson Schritter, the Executive Editor of Colleges of Distinction. “While each school is one of a kind, they all share a common theme: they are all a great place to get an education.”
In order to qualify, TWU was evaluated for its performance in four distinctions: engaged students, quality teaching, vibrant campus communities, and successful graduates. The goal of Colleges of Distinction is to provide students, counsellors, and parents with information about colleges and universities that excel in these four areas. Featured schools take a holistic approach to admissions, consistently excel in providing undergraduate education, and have a truly national reputation.
In addition to its place on the Colleges of Distinction list, TWU is a member of the elite Royal Society of Canada, the oldest and most distinguished association of scientists and scholars in Canada. TWU also consistently ranks among the top two universities in Canada for Educational Experience by the National Survey of Student Engagement, and was the only university in Canada to score an A+ for Quality of Teaching and Learning in The Globe and Mail 2012 Canadian University Report.
TWU’s profile can be seen on the Colleges of Distinction site, where you can also read more about their four distinctions and what qualifies a school for this honour.
