TWU is governed by a Board of Governors to which the President reports. The board is comprised of distinguished Christian leaders from across Canada and the United States.

Frederick H. Fleming
Frederick H. Fleming lives in Abbotsford, B.C. with his wife Wilma. Fleming earned his Bachelor of Commerce from UBC and became a C.A. in 1978. He has served on various boards throughout the years including, Focus on the Family, Canada and Ravi Zacharias International Ministries.
Dr. Peter Chung
Dr. Peter Chung is a Vancouver-based entrepreneur with over 30 years of global experience in the fields of education, commerce, industry, and real estate. Founded in 1995, Dr. Chung is Executive Chairman of Primacorp Ventures Inc., which invests in for profit schools, residential health care facilities and social enterprises. Also active philanthropically, Dr. Chung invests time and resources into several Christian Charitable initiatives.
William W. Francis
Bill Francis and his wife, Marilyn, have served as Salvation Army leaders in the USA, UK, and Canada. He is currently in active retirement in Orlando, Florida. Bill earned a BA from Houghton College in 1966, a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1969, and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree (honorus causa) by Houghton College in 2002. Bill is the author of three books, The Stones Cry Out (1993), Celebrate the Feasts of the Lord (1997) and Building Blocks of Spiritual Leadership (2015) and general editor and contributor to Conversations with the Catholic Church (2014).
William J. Hamel
Dr William J. Hamel became the fifth president of the Evangelical Free Church of America in 1997. Hamel received an honorary doctorate of Christian Ministries 1998 from TWU and from TIU in 1998. He received his M.Div from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Along with serving on the Trinity Western University Board, Hamel also serves on the boards of Trinity International University, University of Northwestern, St. Paul and the National Associations of Evangelicals.
Lorne H. Jacobson
Lorne Jacobson is a Senior Managing Director and co-founder of TriWest Capital Partners, a private equity fund which has raised more than $1.25 billion of equity capital over its five funds since 1998. Lorne is a graduate of TWU and the University of Calgary faculty of law, was previously a partner in a national law firm, and currently serves as a director and officer of a number of public and private companies and charitable organizations.
Ross T. Reimer
Ross T. Reimer is the president of Reimer Associates, an executive search firm he established in 1997. Prior to founding Reimer Associates, Ross was Executive Vice President at Reimer Express Lines Ltd. and served on the company’s Board of Directors. Ross is an Honours graduate in business from Trinity Western University. In addition to sitting on TWU’s Board of Governors, he is also active in several charitable organizations.
Matthew St. John
Matthew St John currently serves as senior pastor of Bethel Church in Fargo, North Dakota, where he nurtures a deep passion for helping the spiritually hungry move toward Jesus and take others with them. A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM; DMin) and King College (BA), Matthew has spent years contributing to more than just the local church, representing Christ in twenty-five countries and consulting with a variety of global ministries while giving time to numerous community, medical, mission, and education boards.
Marvin P. Kehler
Dr. Marvin P. Kehler has been actively involved in the business arena for many years, including the positions of President or Director in the industrial, developmental and agricultural sectors. When Kehler reached his financial goals at the age of 32, he became involved in Christian ministries, while continuing his business ventures. Since 1972, Kehler has shifted the majority of his attention to serving Christian ministries.
Grace M. Koch
Grace M. Koch is committed to reaching and equipping the emerging generation in all areas of her life, be they personal, or ministry. She serves as the National Director for Women for the Evangelical Free Church of Canada. Grace and her husband Bevan live in Williams Lake, BC.
Sara Pasiciel is a retired professor/playwright. She taught at Providence University College for 25 years, instructing in Oral and Written Communications and Theatre. Sara earned a BA in English/Education from Illinois College; an MRE from North American Baptist Seminary; and an MA from Northwestern University. She and her husband Ernest have been involved in cross-cultural teaching ministries in Cameroon, South Korea, Ukraine and Germany; they now reside in Courtenay, BC.
Bill Taylor is Executive Director of the Evangelical Free Church of Canada, a role he has held since 2008. Bill completed an Honors B.A. in History and Philosophy at the University of Waterloo and subsequently graduated in 1990 from Wilfred Laurier University with an M.A. in History. He completed all-but-dissertation towards a Ph.D. in History through the Universities of Toronto and Saskatchewan. Bill and his wife, Deb, live in Aldergrove, BC.
Kenneth Tsang serves as the Chairman of the Board for the Association of North American Chinese Evangelical Free Churches. Kenneth completed Bachelor of Laws and Postgraduate Certificate of Laws at the University of Hong Kong and was admitted as Solicitor of Supreme Court of Hong Kong in 1982. He currently serves as a board member on six charitable or community organizations in Canada.
President, TWU Staff Association
Following his father's footsteps in attending TWU, Jonathan Babbitt graduated in '08 and has now worked in TWU’s Information Technology department for six years. He met his wife, Candice in the dorms during their first year. They now live in Abbotsford, BC where Candice works as a counselor.
Chair, Faculty Association
Myron Penner began teaching at TWU in 2005. He is Associate Professor of Philosophy and the first Director of the Anabaptist-Mennonite Centre for Faith and Learning. Myron's main teaching and research interests include philosophy of religion, epistemology, and the philosophical impact of science for religious belief.

Aaron Fedora completed a BBA in Management and Leadership at TWU in 2004. During his time at TWU, Fedora was President of the Trinity Western University Student Association. He currently works as Operations Manager of Ilkay Group of Companies (real estate development).
President, TWU Student Association
Cody Friesen is a current 5th year BFA Acting Major at TWU. This year, while taking a break from acting, Cody and his team have dedicated their time and services to provide a memorable year to the students by creating the “We Are” movement. A campaign he hopes will carry on in the years to come.
Chair, TWU Senate
Robynne is Professor of History, history stream coordinator in the MAIH program, and Co-director for TWU’s Gender Studies Institute. Her expertise includes Gender, The Atlantic World, Quaker Studies, War and Peace, and Canadian History. She and her husband, Garth, live in beautiful Columbia Valley where they raise Quarter Horses, meat goats, and livestock guardian dogs.
President, Trinity Western University
Bob Kuhn is the fourth president of Trinity Western University. He has been a practicing lawyer for more than 34 years and is founding partner of the law firm of Kuhn LLP. In 2001, Kuhn led TWU’s legal team all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada—successfully defending TWU’s Teacher Education Program and overturning contrary decisions made by the BC College of Teachers.
