CIS TOP TEN TUESDAY
-CIS leaders hold on to No. 1 spots
OTTAWA (CIS) - There are no changes at the top in this week's CIS national rankings.
Simon Fraser (women's basketball), Carleton (men's basketball), Alberta (men's volleyball) and Manitoba (volleyball) each remain on top of their respective polls.
The women's basketball Clan, who have captured three of the last six CIS banners, were as dominant as ever this past weekend rolling over Calgary, 101-76, and Lethbridge, 83-46.
The five-time defending CIS men's hoops champion Ravens were as impressive in their regular-season debut claiming road victories over McMaster, 76-51, and Lakehead, 82-52.
The women's volleyball Bisons and the men's volleyball Golden Bears were the only No. 1 team's to drop a match over the past week. Manitoba split a superb doubleheader against the No. 3 UBC Thunderbirds, with both duels reaching the limit of five sets, while Alberta split a rematch of last years championship with No. 2 Winnipeg in Manitoba.
