SPOKANE, Washington – The NCAA Div. I Gonzaga University Bulldogs used a first half goal and a late penalty kick to defeat the visiting Trinity Western University Spartans 2-0 in men’s soccer action Saturday afternoon at Luger Field in Spokane, Washington.

COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho – The Trinity Western University Spartans got their first point of the 2014 pre-season with a 1-1 tie in men’s soccer action against Northern Idaho College Friday evening at Eisenwinter Field in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The tie improves TWU’s record to 0-1-1 in pre-season play.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – For the Trinity Western men’s soccer team, the season’s heavy lifting is coming early. After playing rivals Victoria and Fraser Valley to open the campaign, this weekend, the Spartans will face the defending CIS champions and now No. 4 ranked UBC Thunderbirds in a home and home series that will see TWU travel to UBC Friday before playing the return leg at Rogers Field Saturday. Both games are at 7 p.m.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – For a Trinity Western men’s soccer team that was once a perennial national title contender – one that qualified for the CIS tournament five straight years, 2006-10 – it’s now been three years since the Langley school advanced to the championship event.
