T.W.U. Spartans (63) at Simon Fraser University (110)
SFU Powers Past TWU in Final
Burnaby, British Columbia - It was their tournament and they proved it on November 27. Simon Fraser University took it to the Trinity Western University men's basketball team in the second night of SFU's tournament. TWU defeated Vanguard University (CA) the previous night, but were blown out 110-63 in the final against the Clan.
Ryan Jobs led the way for the Spartans by scoring 17 points. "We were outplayed in every facet of the game and we played without any heart. They hammered us on the boards (37-25) and we didn't do a lot of things right tonight," offered Head Coach Stan Peters.
Tournament all-stars were awarded to Tyler Coston and Josh Hall.
The Spartans will return to Canada West play on December 3-4, as they host the University of Manitoba. The Spartans are looking to improve on their 1-5 league mark before they head into the Christmas break. Game time both nights will be 8 p.m.
