Matt Boulton

Assistant Coach

Boulton has been an assistant coach with the Spartans since 2009.

Prior to joining the Spartans, Boulton worked as an assistant coach under Kevin Hanson at UBC in 2004-05 and Craig Beaucamp at Victoria in 2006-07. As a coach, Boulton has also been involved at the high school level, with various club programs and with the Ontario Basketball Association at the provincial level.  He also assisted Spartans head coach Scott Allen with the BC Titans of the IBL in 2010.

Boulton grew up in Kingston, Ont. and played high school basketball at Bayridge Secondary School under Jim Crozier. Boulton was a three-time First Team All-Star, won two city championships and had one provincial championship appearance.

He played at Carleton University and was the Ravens Rookie of the Year in 1996. He was a member of 1996 Ontario provincial team that captured gold at the Junior National Championships.
