LANGLEY, British Columbia – In its second year under the Spartans umbrella, the Trinity Western men’s hockey team battled through what was a rather challenging season as it played its way to a 4-15-5 regular season record, a sixth place finish overall in the BCIHL standings and missed the playoffs.

LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western men’s hockey goalie Tim Zwiers (Williams Lake, B.C.) was named the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League's Goaltender of the Year when the league awards were announced Tuesday.

VICTORIA, British Columbia – The Trinity Western University Spartans men’s hockey team concluded the 2011-12 BCIHL season with a 1-1 draw with the University of Victoria Sunday afternoon at the Ian Stewart Complex in Victoria.

LANGLEY, British Columbia –This week the Spartans men’s hockey team will play their last home game of the season against the University of Victoria. The Spartans have had a tumultuous season and have struggled to win games. Their opponent this weekend will be the fourth place Victoria, who are back in action after two weeks without games. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre. The game can also be seen live on www.langleyeventscentre.com.
CANUCKS ALUMNI BEAT TWU ALUMNI IN SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER GAME

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The Trinity Western men’s hockey team had its first ever alumni game featuring the Vancouver Canucks Alumni and the Trinity Western Alumni Saturday as the Canucks beat Trinity Western 8-0 in an exhibition tilt with money raised going to the Spartans hockey team’s scholarship funds.

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia – Despite leading 2-1 heading into the third period, the Trinity Western men’s hockey team lost 4-3 to Thompson Rivers Friday at the Kamloops Memorial Arena.
CANUCKS ALUMNI SET TO PLAY SPARTANS ALUMNI SATURDAY

LANGLEY, British Columbia – The rosters are complete, the coaches have their “gameplans” and the players are ready to put on a show as the Trinity Western men’s hockey alumni team is now just two days away from hosting the Vancouver Canucks alumni at the Langley Events Centre Saturday night.
OKANAGAN DOUBLES UP SPARTANS

KELOWNA, British Columbia – The Trinity Western men’s hockey team fell to Okanagan 6-3 Friday night at the Kelowna Memorial Arena. Despite getting on the board first and tying the game up late in the second period, the Spartans were undone in the third period as they were outscored 4-1 en route to a three-goal loss.
