Biography
For 13 years, Matthew was a classroom teacher in both the public and independent school systems. After completing his B.Ed. at the University of New South Wales in Australia, Matthew went on to pursue his M.Ed. at Macquarie University in Australia and in Canada at UBC. He then went on to complete a Ph.D. at OISE in Toronto, seeking to understand the motivations and perceptions of second career pre-sevice teachers. His research interests are centred in the philosophy of education. Matthew teaches courses in classroom managment, education foundations, mathematics methods, and a new course on indigenous issues in education.
