Todd W. Dutka, MA, RCC
Todd Dutka completed his bachelor’s degree in Psychology (minor in Biblical Studies) and master's degree in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University. His teaching experience has been primarily in Canada, though he has the opportunity to speak all over the United States and in New Zealand. As an instructor, he has taught at TWU since January 2009. Todd has created introductory and upper levels psychology courses for both the classroom and online settings. He has taught 10 different courses at TWU, nine in psychology and a Foundations course.
Todd is a published relationship and career researcher and has worked on a number of research projects: one project was presented at both the Western Psychological Association annual conference and at the American Psychological Association annual conference. In his most recent research endeavor, he worked as part of a team that looked at the differences in effectiveness of a few different therapeutic treatments ability to reduce public speaking anxiety. Todd also has a private counselling practice that focuses on removing or reducing the impact of traumatic incidents. His specializations include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Observed Experiential Integration (OEI). He also uses verbal and non-verbal therapeutic techniques to access and remove limiting emotional and cognitive material that are resistant to solely verbal and/or behavioral instruction.
A neat fact about Todd is that he has had the privilege and pleasure of traveling around the world.
