Jaqueline Buitelaar, MEd
Jackie Buitelaar completed her Bachelor of Education at Trinity Western University in 2001, making her not only a faculty member but also an alumni. As a BC certified teacher, she taught in elementary schools in Abbotsford public schools and at MEI. She completed her Masters of Education with a focus on Educational Practice at Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC. Her graduate studies focused on literacy and numeracy practices at the primary level. As a classroom teacher, she hosted and mentored teacher candidates in her primary classroom. That experienced sparked joy for and purpose in Teacher Education. This led to her joining TWU’s Professional Year Program in 2013 as a faculty associate working even more closely with teacher candidates during their final year practicum. She now serves the Professional Year Coordinator and Associate Dean.
Jackie currently lives in Abbotsford, BC with her husband and two school aged children. She is a member of Northview Community Church.
