Jani McKay is a Professor of Human Resources in the School of Business at Trinity Western University (TWU).  She has taught various undergraduate and graduate human resource courses at TWU since 2007 including organizational behaviour, organizational design and development, compensation, and human resource management. 

For the past 27 years, Jani has consulted in the areas of human resources and strategy with a vast array of organizations in government, high-tech, healthcare, higher education, and manufacturing.  Her clients include University of Washington Medical Center, Optiva Corporation (a division of Philips), Overlake Medical Center, Lindblad Expeditions, and Seattle City Light. Previous to consulting Jani managed an employment services company.   

She is passionate about partnering with organizations to create workplaces where individuals can flourish and where systems, people and strategies align.  Her areas of specialization include:  performance improvement, benchmarking best practices, total rewards systems, organizational design, and interpersonal skill development.  She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and is certified as a Senior Human Resource Professional, Chartered Professional in Human Resources and as a MBTI® Certified Practitioner.
