Class Cancellation Policy
In the event of extreme weather conditions, alerts will be posted on the TWU homepage, www.twu.ca, and on the TWU bulletin line, 604.513.2147. The University will also communicate information regarding the cancellation of classes to the following radio stations: CKNW (980 AM), CKWX (1130 AM), STAR FM (107.1 FM), PRAISE (106.5 FM), KARI (550 AM), The Beat (94.5), GLOBAL TV and CBC Radio.
The TWU homepage and bulletin line are your primary sources of information about class and/or exam cancellations.
Should there be conflicting reports regarding class cancellations, the TWU website and bulletin line are to be considered correct.
The TWU campus will always remain open.
Announcement Schedule
The TWU homepage will be updated throughout the day with three main announcements addressing the status of morning, afternoon and evening classes.
- 6:00 am – Morning classes (assume the afternoon classes will go ahead as scheduled)
- 10:00 am – Afternoon classes (assume the evening classes will go ahead as scheduled)
- 3:00 pm – Evening classes
