Admitted Undergraduate Students

Everything you need to do to prepare for your Trinity Western education – from applying for financial aid to attending orientation – is available on this page.

If you haven’t been admitted to TWU yet, please begin by completing your admission application.

1. Apply for Financial Aid

Academic scholarships are offered upon admission to TWU.  Need-based grants are also available for Canadian and U.S. students who demonstrate financial need.  Begin your application now.

U.S. students must complete the FAFSA and include Trinity Western University (use code G09486) as your college option so we can view your FAFSA in order to assess financial need.

New students for the Spring term will be given a financial aid assessment form to complete once admitted to TWU. Please check with your enrolment advisor to request the financial aid form.

2. Pay Your Deposit

The enrolment deposit ($450) enables you to register for classes and will be credited toward your tuition balance. Your deposit is payable via the application portal. Please note that the enrolment deposit is non-refundable.

Students living outside of North America who have already submitted an admission deposit are not required to pay the enrolment deposits.

3. Sign up for Dorms or Register as a Commuter

Planning to live on campus? Submit a housing application. Once you have a housing placement, you will be asked to accept your housing offer with a non-refundable pre-payment. Students will be asked to accept their offer within 7 days. Housing placements begin in June on a rolling basis, apply as soon as possible to secure your spot!

Note: First year students are required to live on campus unless they are living at home with family or a guardian.

Going to drive/bus/carpool/bike to campus? Our commuter programs will make you feel right at home

4. Register for Classes

Once your deposit is paid, you’ll receive an email with your registration date. Familiarize yourself with the process and your first-year classes.

5. Apply for Student Loans

Planning to apply for student loans? Apply as soon as possible so the funding is available in time. Application processes differ between Canadian and American students. Contact the Financial Aid Office at awards@twu.ca or (604) 513-2031 for more information.

6. Send Official Final Transcripts to TWU

Arrange for all your final, official transcripts to be sent to TWU from your previous institution(s) of study (e.g. high school, post-secondary) before August 1 (if starting in September). This step finalizes your admission. Need more details?

7. Confirm Your TWU Awards

Accepting your financial aid offer ensures the amount is applied to your financial statement and reduces the balance owing. Learn more about the process.

8. Make Your First Tuition Payment

The first tuition payment for the Fall semester is due August 15. We recommend making this payment on (or before) August 8 to allow enough time for processing. Once it’s received, you will be fully registered in your classes. (More information is available on our Tuition Payments page.)

The first tuition payment for the Spring semester is due December 15. We recommend making this payment on (or before) December 8 to allow enough time for processing. Once it’s received, you will be fully registered in your classes. (More information is available on our Tuition Payments page.)

9. Upload ID Photo

Upload a photo for your student ID card, which also acts as your meal card, library card, and gym pass. It must be a clear shot of your head and shoulders, like what‘s required for a passport photo. (Mobile phone photos are fine. Smiling is allowed, too.)

10. Submit Release of Information Form (strongly recommended)

For third parties to have access to your student information (academic, financial, etc.), a Release of Information Form must be submitted by you, the student. At TWU, we encourage you to consider the ways parent access to this information will support your journey. Follow this link to learn how to submit the form.

11. Attend JumpStart Events

Get a jump on your first year of university by attending our summer JumpStart events. These events are designed to prepare you for your start in the fall. Be welcomed by our TWU community as you become familiar with the campus, connect with student services, complete your admissions process, and meet other incoming students through fun activities and a BBQ.

12. Attend Orientation

Orientation Week begins on the Labour Day weekend! Details will be delivered to your inbox.
