TWU KIDS PROGRAMS

Visit university at a young age! Trinity Western University offers several programs for children that will suit a wide range of interests. Students can participate in activities from ecological exploration to chemistry experiments to outdoor ropes courses. We offer a variety of safe, accessible, and fun physical activity and educational programs to foster skill and social development.



Description: Looking for an exciting educational opportunity for your child's Grade 4 or 5 class? Salmon in the Valley (Grade 4) and Salmon in the Valley: Eco-systems (Grade 5) are full-day, environment-based experience which follows the BC curriculum and gives students the opportunity to better understand living organisms, simple food chains, and natural processes in a hands-on outdoor setting. Students will spend the day in Trinity Western University's Ecosystem Study Area, experiencing everything from a guided forest walk, water quality testing, aquatic invertebrate sampling, plant and animal identification, and salmon habitat exploration through activities and games.

Description: Science in the Valley is a program that provides two hour workshops for Grade 6 classes in biology (Life Through a Looking Glass) and Grade 7 classes in chemistry (Matter Matters) and DNA Scissors (Grade 9). The workshops are designed to follow the BC curriculum and provide the students with a "hands-on" opportunity to participate in scientific experiments.
