Faculty Development exists to orient faculty to TWU as an organization of Christian higher education, aid their development as academic university researchers and teachers, and recognize and reward faculty for excellence in teaching. Its primary initiatives include welcoming new faculty, hosting faculty retreat, organizing teaching workshops, administering the Distinguished Lecturer Series, planning full professor inaugural lecture celebrations, implementing learning communities, and discerning teaching award recipients. Faculty Development resides in the Office of Research, Program, and Faculty Development (ORPFD).
