Admission and Application

A bachelor’s degree is typically required for entry into the MA TESOL program, though exceptions can be made in extraordinary circumstances. Teaching experience (typically 1-2 years) and completion of a TESL Certificate, similar to that offered by TWU, are also highly recommended. Other factors which may enhance a candidate’s application include: teaching experience, overseas experience, additional languages studied, and a clear statement of purpose for entering the program.

1. Application with admissions statement (500-700 words) at www.twu.ca/graduate/apply.html

2. Final official transcripts directly from your university or college. GPA should be at least 3.0.
