Deanna Schick has a Bachelor in Physical Education from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters of Science from the University of Calgary. She is also a PhD Candidate in the Department of Experimental Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Deanna came to Trinity to be the Head Athletic Therapist in 2000, but has since moved to the School of Human Kinetics. She is a full-time professor and assists with the Spartan Sport Medicine Team. Deanna uses a variety of soft tissue techniques; soft tissue mobilization, muscle energy, modalities and exercise during her work with athletics.
Deanna has been involved with many national and international sports organizations. Recently, much of her time has been spent with rugby and she has worked with the BC Senior Women's team for several seasons. She has also worked with the National Senior Women's team and National 7's team. Deanna was on the Canadian medical team for the Beijing Paralympics. Deanna is also the Supervisor of Athletic Therapy for Vancouver 2010, is on the SportMed BC Board of Directors and committees of the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association.
