Ryan Adams

Assistant Coach

Ryan Adams is in his fourth year as an assistant coach with the men’s volleyball program. Prior to joining the men’s team, Adams spent three years with the women’s volleyball program.

Adams, who hails from Fergus, Ont., came to TWU from Briercrest College where he was the head coach of the women’s program. Before that, Adams had stops as an assistant coach at the University of Regina and McMaster University. While in Regina, he also served as the technical coordinator for Saskatchewan Volleyball, developing its youth, beach and aboriginal programs.

Adams is a graduate from McMaster University where he earned a degree in Religious Studies and Kinesiology. He is also a Spartans alumnus as he spent the 1998-99 season as a member of the men’s program before transferring to McMaster. Adams also represented Canada at the 2003 FISU Games.

Adams works for Athletes in Action, serving as the volleyball director and is in charge of camps and international tours. Through both TWU and AIA, Adams has played or coached volleyball in over 12 different countries around the world. Adams hails from Fergus, Ontario and currently lives in Langley with his wife Deb.
