From the flickering lights of the big screen of your HDTV, to the pop song on the iPod, to the everyday conversations with friends and family, to the gentle touch of a human hand, our life is awash with meaning, with connection. All this is our map to make sense of the world: we learn who we are from our culture, and we build our culture with our communication.
SAMC’s Department of Media + Communication helps to make sense of this map. Whether it be media production, professional writing and speaking, or interpersonal leadership, our program seeks to help students critique our communication and culture in order to become better communicators and professionals.
