Professional Milestones and Appointments

Sonya Grypma has been appointed Dean of the School of Nursing

Todd F. Martin completed his PhD in Sociology program at the University of British Columbia in March. Todd’s dissertation is entitled, “Exploring the Cohabitation Effect: Untangling the Life Course Diversity of Cohabiting Unions”

Rob Rhea defended his PhD in Educational Studies dissertation in March at Biola University (Talbot School of Theology). Rob’s dissertation examined the relationship of identity status, agency, and religiosity to the acceptance and use of pornography among Christian, undergraduate, emerging adults.

Julia Mills received a two year Murdock College Research Program for the Life Sciences grant of $50,000 from the M. J. Murdock Charitable Trust for the research project “The Role of ILK in the Differentiation and Progression of Retinoblastoma.”
