One of the top high school basketball players in BC will be coming to Trinity Western University this fall as women’s basketball head coach Kerby Court announced the signing of Riverside Secondary Rapids guard Stephanie Carkner (Port Coquitlam, B.C.).

The 2007-08 season was one of new beginnings for the Trinity Western University Spartans women’s basketball team, and set the foundation for an ascension up the Canada West standings in the seasons to come. In his first season as head coach, Kerby Court guided TWU to a fifth place finish in the tough Canada West Pacific division with an 8-15 record. The eight wins are a school record, as well as a two win improvement from the previous season.
